Lesson Learned 6/30 - JFK Airport

When setting out on a long trip, always allow time for unexpected delays. You and a friend, let’s say, may find yourselves locked out of your apartment building, yet locked in to your gated parking lot. You’ll have a spare set of keys, but those will never work. You may have to jump a fence in white shorts, but it’s just dirt. Your neighbor might witness the whole thing and come to open the door just as you’ve finally got it unlocked, but you still won’t know his name and you’ll have a good 4 weeks to live that down. You’ll still make it to the airport on time. The line will be the longest you’ve ever seen, but they’ll let you move to the front, in the VIP style you’re accustomed to. Your cheeks might be a little red and your stomach might miss Zensei’s “Mango Delight” but when your hands stop shaking you’ll remember that you’ve got your passport and a credit card and 28 days to make this the least memorable part of the trip...

You left out the part where you take the keys you were supposed to leave for your friend with you. Do you have them or are they in my car somewhere? I'm just glad you made it to the East Coast...hopefully you can make it out of the country (uneventful) as well.

That is a great start to your trip. I can only imagine the little bit of stress that you were going through...i am laughing..not at you, but with you...at least that part is over. Hope your travel to Cypress is safe. I look forward to reading more about your travels.
